Oregano

Oregano is a perennial herb with spade shaped dark green, slightly hairy foliage giving this “super herb” its aromatic, warm and slightly bitter taste. Known as the “pizza herb” of Italian cuisine, oregano combines well with spicy foods adding flavor to roasted, fried or grilled vegetables, meats and fish. Oregano can be utilized fresh, dried or in powder form, adding flavor not only to culinary dishes but also infused in teas and distilled as essential oils.
